Senior Electrical Material Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Material Engineer, you will be assigned to one or more electrical equipment requisitions (such as HV Gas
Insulated Switchgear, MV Switchgear, LV Switchboards, LV Distribution Boards, Transformers, UPS, Electrical
Control System (ECS), Cables…)
Site : Tunis/France/International
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue project deliverables related to the electrical material, such as, but not limited to, Technical Specifications, Datasheets, Material Requisitions, Scope of Supply, Inspection and Test Plan, Schedule, etc.
- Issue requisitions for inquiry and purchase in coordination with other operating centers and Partners
- Review of compliance of BIDDER’s proposal and issue of technical bid tabulations
- Technical follow-up of requisitions (quality, schedule, technical compliance, variation orders, etc.)
- Checking or approval of deliverables relevant to the scope of requisition
- Coordinate execution of the purchase orders with the Procurement team
- Comments on VENDOR documents
- Answer to COMPANY comments
- Review of the QCP (Quality Control Plan) & test procedures
- Review of the QCP (Quality Control Plan) & test procedures
- Regular reporting to the Lead Discipline Engineer and its deputy, in terms of deliverables with Hold items (information needed for release), blocking technical issues, missing interface data, Vendor’s Documentation submission progress and delays, COMPANY comment status
- Identify all necessary interfaces whether internal, external or ‘inter-discipline’ and coordinate with the Lead Discipline Engineer or its deputy
- Obtain relevant data from other operating centers, disciplines, and partner to perform its deliverables
- Prepare and assist to the FATs
- Provide design engineers with equipment data (from estimated values/preliminary, information to final vendor’s data) required for installation studies and related activities
- Interface with other equipment lead Engineers (MV & LV switchgear, ECS, Transformers, etc.)
- Identify and alert on changes introduced by COMPANY or any other Parties.
- Populate Smartplant Electrical Database with all required Vendor’s data
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Significant experience (more than 7 years) in electrical equipment design in O&G
- Experience in technical follow-up of a VENDOR including reporting (ability to synthesis), VENDOR planning analysis with identification of milestones, VENDOR progress follow up, ability to anticipate remediation in case of delays (from both parties, VENDOR and CONTRACTOR)
- Knowledge of engineering workflow
- Knowledge of standards IEC rules
- Fluent English (writing of technical documents/ minute of meeting, interface with partners/client, verbal communication through audio conference meetings)
- Good communication skills to manage interface with other members in the electrical team & other disciplines
- Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)
Contract & Mobility Conditions
Permanent contract (CDI equivalent) based in Tunisia.
International assignments in France for periods of up to 6 months.
Full coverage of mission-related expenses (travel, accommodation, and per diem in accordance with company policy).
Position requires availability for international travel.
